    This extraordinary material is highly resistant to abrasion and durable. As an exersise in fabrication, I made a ball shift knob for my 2012 Prius v, after cutting an threading the shaft for a short throw and making it project less out of the dashboard. It took nearly 10 times more sanding an polishing time than the equivalent knob made of POM or acetal copolymer. It does take a brilliant polish, given the extended perior of polishing and the rough surface from lathe turning. A photo of the completed and mounted shift knob is attached to as a tribute to this extraordinary material.
