    Description

This is a finely decorated jar with an exceptionally painted koi carp on one side with another on the other side with smaller fish and weeds in between. The neck of the jar which has a nicely shaped body leading to it has a scroll on either side. The blue used is that lovely soft Korean blue with good shading on the foremost carp. The glaze as is often the case has not taken completely in some areas giving a bubble like effect but as it is fairly typical does not devalue the piece much at all.The jar stands 6 1/2 in tall (17 cm) 5 in(15cm) at its widest point. It is in perfect condition,no chips cracks or restoration.
