    Description

    Museum Quality Large Early 1900 ~ 1920's MinHwa Folk 2 Panel Screen Symbols of Longevity Pagoda, Ship, Birds, Tree and Cranes on Jangji Paper
    (Special paper made from rice mulberry paper)
    and Hand Painted using Natural Pigment. There are numbers 1 & 2 written on back.
    Painter is unknown and most likely painted by an anonymous artist. Korean MinHwa or folk paintings were often painted by an anonymous artist.
    Painting was detached from screen panel at some point. An original screen panel probably didn't survive or paintings were detached on purpose.
    My dad purchase these two and many others from a longtime Korean art collector in Japan (Japanese) in the 70's.
    My dad said he bought these with an intention
    of getting them framed but never did. These and many others like it were hidden in our storage until recently.
    Item is in good condition overall with an expected wear, creases, staining, water stain, folds, smudge, rip and tear. Please see photos.
    Dimensions: 54.2"H x 17.3"W each one differ slightly in measurement
